Main types of Escrow fees and who pays them?
Escrow Fees are payments of the sides to Escrow for everything it does related to the completion of the contract. Some of the main Escrow fees include Real Estate fees, Loan fees, third party payment, Seller’s profit. In addition to the main Escrow fees, you may also have to pay for Transferring funds, Copying or transmitting documents, Office expenses.
Escrow Fees are not constant. They vary from state to state and highly depend on the actual cost of the home. The Escrow fees can be calculated with a simple equation. The general rule of thumb for buyers or retailers is from 1 to 1,5%. Talking in more detail about the Escrow fees, sides have to pay the escrow fees + what it’s taking them to get the loan.
Escrow Fees ideally should be paid by both sides: buyer and seller. However, based on the in advance negotiations, one side could take completely all the costs. Whatever the initial agreement is, you should be very careful in avoiding any mistake in calculating the fees.
If the conversation is about selling a business, the Escrow fee is usually calculated for less than 1% of the contract price. And in this case, the fees are usually divided by both sides.

Basically, inside the United States, fees can be paid in dollars via Wire Transfer, Money order, Paypal, Credit card. Accurate calculation of the Escrow fees in advance is an important step. Though Escrow provides you with the security of your contract and it’s worth paying for it, you should be aware of what financial obligations you are taking on.
